The 2016 AAU Junior Olympics are in the books. Houston, Texas was the host of the final four days of premier summer hockey action. 102 U16 athletes from 19 different states came together and competed in the largest national multi-sport event for youth in the United States- a fun lead in to the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
Team Royal took the Gold, finishing the competition with an overall record of 5-1-2. The squad pulled out a 2-1 shootout win over Team Red in the cross-over match and then secured the Gold with a 2-1 win over Team Lime.
