MAX Field Hockey is excited to release the first ever player rankings for the Class of 2024!
About the selection process:Â
This was a challenging year due to COVID and the lack of summer selections from USA Field Hockey events like the National Futures Championship, AAU Junior Olympic Games, Stars & Stripes Elite Game, Junior National Camp, etc. Â Similarly, the High School season looked different across the country. Â We relied more heavily on feedback, player profiles, and highlight videos this year than ever before. Â The use of video was an incredible addition to the process as our ability to compare players and the level of play was greatly enhanced.
There is no formula to share on our final selections- player rankings are subjective and we try our best to be fair and comprehensive in ranking players from all parts of the country [Some insight into our Player Rankings Process]. Since this class is so young and data and information is not as available and consistent as it usually is, we may have missed some deserving players who just don’t have the accolades, selections or comparable information to go by yet.  We will do this class again next year and there will be several opportunities for deserving players to be added to the list!
