CLASS OF 2022 SESSION ADDED

Due to very high demand from players and college coaches, we are excited to announce the addition of a Class of 2022 session to the National Player Combine!  The Class of 2022 will now be offered July 31 – August 1.  To accommodate this addition, we have combined the 2024s and 2025s into one group.  Following is the updated schedule and class breakdown:

July 24-25: Class of 2023 & 2024/2025
July 31-August 1: Class of 2023 & 2022
August 7-8: Class of 2024 & 2025

Yesterday we emailed all 2025s to ask for any preferred date updates.  If you didn’t receive that email, please email us at admin@maxfieldhockey.com.

COLLEGE COACHES REGISTER

At the beginning of the week we reached out to all Division 1, 2, and 3 college coaches and invited them to register to attend the National Player Combine.  We received an incredible response so far and expect this list to continue to grow.  As of January 28th, we have 75 college programs registered.  [Check out the full list here]

The 2021 National Player Combine (NPC) is a brand new elite event designed to allow top field hockey players in the classes of 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 to demonstrate all aspects of their athleticism, skills, and talent on the field.  Individuals will be evaluated by class through 5 sessions that include physiology, field hockey skills, small group play, and full field 11v11 play. The NPC standardized testing and evaluation curriculum will be developed and implemented by the highest level individuals in the sport. We are excited to announce Kyle McMinn, Director of Strength & Conditioning for the USA Field Hockey Women’s National Team, will be the NPC Physiology Director.  We look forward to announcing the NPC Field Hockey Director soon.

Upon completion of the combine, athletes will receive a comprehensive player evaluation highlighting areas of strength and suggested improvements.  Athletes will also receive a highlight video of their personal play throughout the weekend (included in the fee!) and access to all additional video footage to download if desired.

This is an elite event.  There is an application process that will allow us to ensure the highest level of competition. Each session will be limited to 66 athletes per class, including a maximum of 6 goalkeepers.  At the conclusion of each combine weekend, we will name the top third of athletes for each class based on their performance.

All NCAA Division 1, 2 and 3 college Head and Assistant Coaches will be invited and we anticipate a high level of college coach attendance.  View the list of registered coaches here.
