What will you major in/study?: Early Childhood Education. The school has a great program for education students to gain experience in local school districts as early as your sophmore year.
Why did you choose this school?: I chose Stevenson because of the sense of community and support throughout campus. The people who make up Stevenson are what really drew me in. Everyone I met on campus, including the field hockey players and the coach, all wanted to help me be successful and offered so much support. In addition, the campus is beautiful with a vision to keep growing in the future. Also, the education program has a great reputation and provides the opportunity to gain first hand, classroom experiences early on. After finding Stevenson, I realized I found my future home.

Who would you like to thank?:  I would first like to thank my family for being my biggest fans. Your support on the sidelines at all my games since second grade has meant the world to me, and I love you so much. I would also like to thank my teammates for making me a better player on the field and for creating countless memories filled with laughter together. You have become my family and life-long friends. Thank you so much to my coaches, especially Coach Amy Masters. I’m so grateful you created the rec and club programs which allowed me to discover my passion for field hockey and grow as a player. Having you as a coach since second grade has made me the player I am today and you are one of the biggest mentors in my life. I cannot explain how grateful I am to have had you alongside me throughout this journey. A big thank you to Coach Morgan Bitting at Stevenson for believing in me and providing me this opportunity to fulfill my dream to continue my passion for field hockey at a college that feels like home. I cannot wait to be a part of the program you are building at Stevenson.
