Why did you choose this school?:  My search for the “right” university with the qualities and characteristics that I was personally looking for was quite a challenge. After visiting and touring many universities that had my sport and chosen major, I came to Hofstra University. As soon as I spoke with the coach and met the team, I loved their energy; however, what most influenced me to make the application decision was to personally go to campus and see how it from another perspective as pictures do not do it justice. I fell in love with the university’s ideal location, especially the structure and distribution of the campus. It was just what I was looking for and I could see myself living there for the next four years of my life. During the tour, all the people we passed radiated good energy and kindness which I thought was incredible. I ended up making my decision that while living there I would always be in good hands. The personalized attention I will receive makes Hofstra a much better choice than larger universities. Additionally, my major choice is also available at the university and the placement rate for post-graduation will ensure that I have a job in my field upon graduating. My research has shown that 93% of students graduating from Hofstra are employed or in graduate school within a year after graduating. My collegiate success as well as my future career depend on attending a school that supports my aspirations; Hofstra is the place for me.

Who would you like to thank?: I would like to thank my family especially my mother for always being there in everything I do to push me and help me to achieve it. In addition to my family, I would like to thank my coaches who always push me to be better and Francisco, a friend of the family, who helped me and guided me throughout the recruitment process.
