Why did you choose this school?: Wake Forest’s Motto, Pro Humanitate, resonated with me the most. In addition, Wake Forest provided the perfect blend of excellent education, superb athletics, in close proximity to the artistic and culturally-diverse city of Winston-Salem. Being part of a positive team culture was very important for me. The coaching staff and players of the Wake Forest Field Hockey program are a personification of that.
Who would you like to thank?: First, I would like to thank coach Averill, coach Sutton, and coach Gonzalez for providing me with the great opportunity to play the sport I am passionate about in the great academic and cultural setting of Wake Forest University.
I would also like to thank each and every coach I interacted with at my school, club, and any clinics or camps I attended. I learned something different from each and every one of them, and I wouldn’t be the person who I am today without all the help and guidance I received along the way.
Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to my mom for supporting me and providing me with all of these wonderful opportunities.
