Other Colleges Considered: Bryn Mawr College, Washington and Lee University, Tufts University, Limestone University
Who would you like to thank?: It is a privilege for me to have the opportunity to commit to Towson University to play field hockey. This opportunity is made possible by many people; however, I would be remiss in not first thanking my parents, Ludley and Debra Howard, who have always been my supporters. Because of them, I am in a position to be a Division I student-athlete in the sport that I love. Their devotion and commitment to me has been inspiring and, most importantly, influenced me to push myself to be better every day.

I am grateful for my family, who provided unwavering support during this daunting process. Their wise thoughts helped me make the decision that best serves my needs academically and athletically.  Without Anne Smith, my high school and middle school coach, I may have never picked up a field hockey stick. Her continual support, both on and off the field, allowed me blossom as a student-athlete. The elevation of my game is due to Gloria Nantulya, head coach of the Washington Wolves. Gloria taught me how to leverage my athleticism to improve my fundamental field hockey skills. To Janessa Pope who instilled confidence in me and was instrumental in helping me to transition from a latecomer to the sport by drilling me on specific skills to accelerate my game.

Lastly, to the coaches at Towson who have allowed me to become a Tiger. Thank you for this extraordinary chance to develop as an athlete while pursuing my academic interests. I appreciate our conversations and look forward to learning and growing as a player under your guidance. Go Tigers!!!
