Haverford High School junior Katie Redding commits to University of Scranton!

Player Name: Katie Redding
Grad Year: 2020
College Choice: University of Scranton (D3)
Date Committed: May 31, 2019

State: Pennsylvania
High School: Haverford High School
Club: Philly Hockey Club
Position: Forward
What will you major in/study?: Nursing
Why did you choose this school?: I picked Scranton because when I arrived on campus I did not want to leave- I fell in love with the school, academics and field hockey program! Scranton is the perfect distance away from home where my parents will still be able to watch me play which is important to me. I also picked Scranton because of coach Colleen, she told me confidently I would be able to pursue nursing and play field hockey which was extremely valuable to me!
Other Colleges Considered: La Salle University, Catholic University, Neumann University, Salisbury University, Monmouth University
Who would you like to thank?: I would love to thank my parents for taking the time out for field hockey and all the commitments that come with it. I would like to thank my High school coach, Kevin Patterson, for guiding me through the whole process and leading me to Scranton- and Coach Taylor, my club coach Rennie Milne, and the first two field hockey coaches I had, Andrea Wilson and Liz Schmader!
