REGIONAL CUP CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW

Shooting Star Regional Cup Championship
November 23-24, 2019
Lancaster, Pennsylvania

This weekend in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the first ever Shooting Star Regional Cup U16 & U19 champions will be crowned.  Hosted around the NCAA Division II and Division III National Championships, the games will be played at Penn Manor High School in Millersville, while the NCAA Division II Final 4 will be played down the street at Millersville University and the NCAA Division III Final 4 will be played at Spooky Nook Sports.  The NFHCA Senior All-Star games will also take place for each Division on Saturday at each location.  It is certain to be an all-around festive championship hockey atmosphere!

We are thrilled to be hosting the inaugural Regional Cup Championship! An elite event to showcase the top performing clubs from the summer series. The opportunity to run this event in conjunction with both the NCAA Championship and the NFHCA Sr Game is something we are very excited about. The chance to support each event and field hockey at the collegiate level is a key part to the mission statement of the Regional Cup. Aspiring high school athletes to be engaged in the college game and promote their desire to one day be on that field!

-Ainslee Lamb, Vice President of Field Hockey-3STEP Sports

Teams qualified to participate in the Regional Cup Championships through the Shooting Star Regional Cups that took place in June- the Mid-Atlantic Regional Cup was hosted at the DE Turf complex in Delaware and the Northeast Regional Cup was hosted at the Fore Kicks Complex in Massachusetts.  The top 2 teams from pool a (u16 & u19) at each regional cup series site received an automatic invitation and two additional teams were chosen at large for 6 teams in each age division.

Check out the schedule below as well as links to all the important event information for the weekend.  We look forward to posting a recap of the championship next week and sharing the U16 and U19 Players of the Tournament.  Good luck to all the participating teams!
