As we move into mid-October, postseason play has already begun and will soon begin for some different areas across the country.  We rolled our High School Postseason page over to 2018 and have begun compiling state and major conference tournament information and links there.  You can access that page via the main menu bar — HIGH SCHOOL — POSTSEASON.  As we learn of new brackets being released, we will add them there.  If we are missing anything, please email us at [email protected]  We will also be posting championship winners/runner-ups and team pictures here.  This season we are even more excited about maintaining this postseason page because teams that win or vie for a state or major conference championship will be invited to our inaugural 2019 MAX Field Hockey National Tournament at The Proving Grounds (Conshohocken, PA) next Fall!  Learn More

Last week we welcomed recommendations for High School All-American mid-season additions.  Thank you to all who submitted a student-athlete for consideration.  We initially envisioned releasing an actual list of additions at this time, but we do not feel like we have comprehensive and inclusive enough information to go off of to do so.  We have, however, made notes of and begun our own list in the back end based on the recommendations we received.

Looking ahead towards postseason player and coach awards– we have the complete nomination process for All-Region Teams and other major player and coach awards outlined with details and deadlines at the HIGH SCHOOL — SUBMIT NOMINATIONS page.  The nomination deadline is Tuesday, November 20th.  PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT NOMINATIONS PRIOR TO THE PLAYER OR COACHES SEASON BEING COMPLETE.

A note on our rankings:  Weekly we track over 150 team’s schedules and results, which is a daunting task given the inconsistent availability of up-to-date High School field hockey information online across the country.  While we try our best to look out for new teams on the rise or to add, logistically we heavily rely on how our previously ranked teams are doing, and we look for any teams who beat, tie or challenge one of them.  If you think we are missing a team, please let us know!  We ALWAYS welcome productive feedback and want you to let us know if we are missing a team or if you think a team should be ranked higher or lower.  Email us: [email protected]
