The Top 20 in the Mid-Atlantic Region Rankings remains relatively the same this week, with the Top 10 remaining exactly the same. We have four newcomers to the Top 20. VISAA Division I squad St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School enters at #16 at 14-4-0. Broadneck returns at #18 at 8-3-1 with a couple of quality wins under their belt over the last couple of weeks. East Chapel Hill enters for the first time this season at #19 as the top seed in the NCFHA tournament. The final spot, #20, goes to Langley (McLean, VA) who just came onto our radar late in the season. They sit at a perfect 18-0-0 after finishing the regular season undefeated.
The North Carolina State Tournaments are underway. The NCFHA is just getting started, while the NCISAA tournament is already down to the final, which will be played on Saturday between top-ranked and undefeated Charlotte Latin School and Providence Day School (13-8). The final is a rematch of last year’s final in which Charlotte Latin won 2-1 in 2OT. Charlotte Latin is playing for their 3rd consecutive title.
