2017 Week #2 Rankings – West/Mid-West Region

Serra (San Diego, CA) maintains the #1 spot on the Week #2 West/Mid-West Rankings.  The Conquistadors won the Serra Tournament over the weekend, outscoring opponents 21-0.  Senior Top 10 player and California Preseason Player of the Year Kathryn Peterson (Michigan commit) and junior Kathryn Schneider (Louisville commit) have been a dangerous offensive duo combining for 34 goals and 15 assists through 9 games.  Assumption (Louisville, KY) jumps up to the #2 spot after absolutely dominating regionally ranked opponents at the Oak Park & River Forest Tournament over the weekend.  The Rockets knocked off four Top 20 teams by scores of 4-0, 5-2, 4-0, and 3-0.

The lone newcomer to this week’s Top 20 is Lafayette High School (Wildwood, MO) who is looking strong at 8-1-2 with an early season tie to #12 Cor Jesu and a 1 goal loss to #9 ranked Villa Duchesne last week.  Olentangy Liberty (Powell, OH) drops out of the Top 20 after falling to Columbus Academy 1-6.
