WHY DID YOU CHOOSE STANFORD?  “I chose Stanford because it is the perfect intersection of rigorous academics and competitive athletics that will allow me to pursue both at the highest level. From the moment I stepped onto campus, I knew that it was the perfect place for me! I am very excited to join the Stanford community and become a part of the field hockey team! Go Card!”

ANYONE YOU WOULD LIKE TO THANK?  “First and foremost, I would like to thank Jun and Richard Kentwell for being the best coaches, mentors, and second set of parents I could have ever asked for. They have pushed me beyond what I ever thought was possible, have always believed in me, and have not only transformed me as a player, but as a person as well. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done both off and on the pitch during these last 7 years; they have completely changed my life. I would also like to thank my high school coaches, Coach Buggy and Coach Vos Strache for all of their support and guidance over the last 4 years. I will be eternally grateful to them for all of their encouragement and advice. I will be cheering them and my Eockey family on next year all the way from California!! I would also like to thank my lacrosse coaches Michele Dejuliis and Jennifer Duckenfield. They taught me what it means to be a true champion and that having good character is the most important part of playing any sport. I am very lucky to be able to call these two women not only my coaches, but also my role models and friends. I would also like to thank my middle school coaches Coach McDermott and Coach Bernabei for introducing me to the game and nurturing my love for it. Last, but not least, I would like to thank my parents and my brother for being my biggest cheerleaders. They have spent countless hours driving me to and from practices, watching games, and everything in between, sacrificing so much of their time and effort to help me achieve my dreams. Mom, Dad, Evan, thank you for everything you do. I love you and I will miss you all so much next year.”
