WEEK #1: Northeast Region High School Rankings

Lakeland holds strong as the dominant force in both New York state and the Northeast Region.  The Hornets are off to a 3-0 start, outscoring opponents 17-1.  One of the big stories this week is defending NYS Class A Champion Mamaroneck’s 1-1-1 start, losing to Scarsdale 3-1 and tying a tough #3 Wilton (CT).  They bump down to the #4 spot.  Newcomers include #16 Saratoga Springs (NY) who defeated then ranked #13 Burnt Hills and lost a close contest to #8 Shenendehowa, and #18 Staples (CT) who is off to a strong 3-0 start.
