What is Weed Whackers?

A free, fun, and interactive community-based program designed to introduce boys and girls in grades K-5 to the sport of field hockey.  Jen Averill, Head Field Hockey Coach at Wake Forest University, began the Weed Whackers program over 10 years ago because of a lack of field hockey offered to young kids in the Winston-Salem area.
